Vacation time in the Columbia River Gorge is not complete without the best whitewater rafting adventure in the northwest.

The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area has great whitewater rafting with eight rivers descending into its sea level path through the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean.  Opportunity abounds for whitewater rafting enthusiasts of all adventure levels to have some fun. The crown jewels of the whitewater rafting scene are the Klickitat River and the White Salmon River. Both are on the north side of the Columbia River Gorge, near Hood River, Oregon and White Salmon, Washington.

WHERE TO RAFT

The White Salmon River offers, up to four choices for rafting fun and verying degrees of adventure levels.  For high adventure the Upper Gorge will keep you paddling strong. The Middle Gorge and Middle/Lower Combo trips offer fast paced fun and are our most popular trips. You can even combine all of these trips for the longest commercial whitewwater rafting experience on the White Salmon. The Upper – Middle – Lower combo will keep you splashing all day long. The Klickitat River is a Spring-time delight starting off in April of each year and running into June. If you are looking for an all day advenure that gives you the remote feeling of a wilderness experience, the Klickitat River is your ticket.

WHAT TO BRING

All river clothing is provided for these trips right down to your footwear. You just bring a base layer of swim suits or shorts, and we’ll layer you up according to the weather of the day.
